Greg and Sonya Joyce

Greg and Sonya are both native Texans, growing up in Whitehouse and are both graduates of Liberty University. They have been married for 12 years and with the permission of their cats they live slightly west of our church on Fifth Street. Greg works at East Texas Food Bank and Joyce at Lincare.
Welcome them to membership here, pray for them, and look for ways to encourage them in the Faith.




David and Marci Curry

We welcome David and Marcella (Marci) Curry to membership here at Fifth Street Presbyterian. The Currys come by transfer from Center Grove P.C.A. of Edwardsville IL, though both of natives of Texas who now have come home. Marci received her B.S. in Education from Texas Tech. and her M.S.A. from Southern Illinois University. She is also a CPA. David graduated from Wayland Baptist College with a B.A., worked as a Trooper with Texas D.P.S. and then served in the Marines from 1974 until 1996 when he retired. He been a Gideon since 1996 and also served as a Ruling Elder at Center Grove Presbyterian Church. Please welcome the Currys and make them part of your regular prayer life.


Mathew and Jamie Wylie
Levi 2; Baby #2 Due February 29

We welcome to our membership the Wylies who come to us from Westminster PCA in Greenville TX. The Wylies are both native Texans, A&M graduates, and employees of Mother Francis (Matthew works in Jacksonville and Jamie in Whitehouse). They plan to stay in East Texas…which is a good idea.


Clint and Kim Covington
Avery 16; Cade 11

The Clint Covington Family comes to us from Black Jack Baptist Church of Troup were Clint was the pastor for about four years. By God’s grace Clint and Kim have been drawn to Reformed Theology and felt led to the Fifth Street Presbyterian. Clint and Kim are both Troup natives.
Avery is homeschooled and Cade is a student at Grace Community School.

John and Becky Covington

John and Becky Covington come to us from Black Jack Baptist Church of Troup where they both graduated from High School and were High School sweethearts. After spending about 20 years in the DFW area they have retired to Troup. John and Becky have three grown children and seven grandchildren. They look forward to being involved here at Fifth Street and are glad to be part of this church family.

Lee, Jeanette, Zachary, and Hannah Hinrichsen

We welcome to our membership the Hinrichens. Lee grew up in New York State, on a dairy farm and has worked for 35 years as a Physical Therapist (20 years with the USAF). Jeanette grew up in Connecticut and worked for 10 years as a physical Therapist but then became a stay at home to raise their four children—two of which have been received into membership with them. Lee and Jeanette have been married 39 years.
We thank God for adding the Hinrichsens to our church and encourage you to welcome them, pray for them, and work at becoming part of their lives.
